Wyoming Area made it three wins over Pittston Area in five days when the boys and girls soccer teams put together back-to-back shutout victories Monday and Tuesday.

Both games were non-league contests because the Warriors and Patriots compete in opposite divisions of the Wyoming Valley Conference.

Wyoming Area won the boys soccer game, 4-0, Monday at home.

The Lady Warriors went on the road Tuesday for a 6-0 victory over their rivals.

The girls volleyball team had gotten the stretch started Sept. 14 with a 25-23, 25-18, 14-25, 25-19, home-court victory.

Nick Belles scored twice to lead the boys soccer win Monday.

Brett Kostik opened the scoring and assisted Matt Lewis on the only goal of the second half.

Belles scored two in a row before halftime, first on a Luke Coolbaugh assist, then unassisted.

Gavin Lahart assisted Kostik’s goal.

The Warriors dominated with advantages of 16-2 in shots and 5-1 in corner kicks.

Adam Wisnewski made two saves in the win.

Aleah Kranson had five goals in the girls soccer win the next day.

Christina Kosco added the other goal.

Caroline Wesp made 21 saves for Pittston Area.
