Jack Henzes, who launched a 52-year high school football head coaching career at Wyoming Area, resigned in April from his position at Dunmore, citing health reasons.

Henzes, who has battled heart issues throughout the second half of his career, maintained his title as head coach during the 2018 season, but was unable to be on the sideline with the team because of his health battles.

With his coaching career appearing to be at a conclusion, Henzes ranks second in state history in football coaching victories behind another former District 2 coach, the late George Curry.

Henzes spent the last 48 seasons leading the Bucks, including a 1989 state Class A championship and three more trips to state championship games.
