Greater Pittston had Senior games in the first three days of July and won two of them in Wyoming Valley American Legion Baseball.
After beating Tunkhannock, 12-6, Monday, Greater Pittston lost to Stripes & Strikes from Hazleton, 9-5, then defeated Plains/Wilkes-Barre, 9-5.
Zach Mascelli, Matt Sorick and Dylan Melberger handled the pitching against Tunkhannock while Cole Cherkas, Hunter Ralston and Alex McAndrew led the offense.
Greater Pittston went into Friday’s second straight game against Plains/Wilkes-Barre with a 9-4 record for third place in the league.

The Greater Pittston Youth team is 9-6 for fourth in the league.
Greater Pittston swept Tunkhannock in a June 29 doubleheader, 13-3 and 12-5, then lost to Back Mountain, 5-3, the next day.
