PITTSTON — A mass of remembrance for John P. Cosgrove will be celebrated at 6 p.m. Monday, Nov. 7 at St. John the Evangelist Church in Pittston. Cosgrove, a Pittston native and senior past president of the National Press Club, died at his Washington, D.C. apartment Saturday, Oct. 15. He was 98 years old.
There will be a small reception immediately following the mass at the Pittston Memorial Library, 47 Broad St.
It was requested that donations in Cosgrove’s memory be sent to the Cosgrove Endowment at the Pittston Memorial Library, 47 Broad St., Pittston, PA 18640, or to the National Press Club Journalism Institute, National Press Building, 529 14th St. NW, Washington, D.C. 20045.
