Ashlyn Loyack, 10, and Briana Chikowski, 8, members of the Pittston David Blight School of Dance, recently competed at the Talent Olympics held at Split Rock Resort in the Poconos.

They competed in the 7 to 9 age duo/trio category, placing first in hip-hop and pantomime and placing second in tap and jazz.

Ashlyn and Briana were the highest scoring duo/trio team in the competition, receiving a special “Broadway Bound” award for their jazz as well as Double D Champion trophies and a cash prize.

Ashlyn is the daughter of Steve and Chrissy Loyack and has a sister, Bailey. She is a student in the Pittston Area School District.

Briana is the daughter of Brad and Renee Chikowski and has a sister, Carly. She is a student in the Wyoming Area School District.
