PITTSTON — The Pittston Memorial Library invited Pittston Area art students who participated in creating the “Postcard Mural” in downtown Pittston to a “Meet the Artists” event at the John P. Cosgrove center at the library on Sept. 17.

Students who attended the event included Pittston Area graduates Abby Roberts, Bailey Piechota and Amber Blannard.

Students from the high school included Nick Arcarese, Megan Small, Selena Rubino, Sydney Cooper and Alana Brown. The art teacher, Mrs Greenwald and the artist-in-residence Leigh Pawling also attended the presentation.

The teachers presented a slide show of the progress of the mural and the students held a question and answer session afterwards. Postcards of the mural were available to purchase at the event.
