Alcoholics Anonymous meets at 7:30 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays in the rectory.
The parish will have a takeout pasta dinner along with a sauce and meatballs and homemade cannoli sale from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 8, in the parish hall. The dinner menu includes salad, bread, pasta, meatballs and dessert. Tickets are $10 for adults and $6 for children ages 3 to 12. The quarts of sauce are $5 each and the quarts of sauce with meatballs are $7 each. The homemade cannoli are $3 each.

A “Senior Bingo,” sponsored by the Pastoral Outreach Apostolate, will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 8 in the church hall. All persons 60 years of age and older are invited. Admission is free and snacks and prizes will be given.
The Women’s Society Advent Pierogi Sale will take place Monday, Nov. 13 to Wednesday, Nov. 15. Orders will be taken the weekend of Saturday, Oct. 7 and Sunday, Oct. 8 after all Masses in the church hall. Both potato and cabbage pierogi will be available for $8 per dozen. It is important that you place any and all orders in advance so that the proper amount of ingredients can be ordered. Payment is made at the time of pick-up.
A Eucharistic Holy Hour in observance of the 100th anniversary of the final apparition of Our Lady at Fatima will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 13 in the church. A petition basket will be located at the entrance of church – parishioners can either bring a written petition with them or write one as they enter and place it in the basket. A candlelight procession of all present with the statue of Our Lady of Fatima will enter the church. Three children representing the seers of Fatima will present the petitions and crown the statue. Adoration and prayer led by the Legion of Mary will follow. After the holy hour, Fr. Petro will bless and distribute brown scapulars. A light reception will follow in the church hall.
An annual “Welcome Mass” honoring all new parishioners will be held at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 15. A light reception sponsored by the parish Welcome Committee will follow in the church hall.
The annual Pastoral Outreach Bake Sale will be held the weekend of Saturday, Oct. 28 and Sunday, Oct. 29 in the church hall after all Masses. A theme basket and 50/50 raffle will be available.
Cemetery Sunday devotions will take place at 1 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 29 in the Sacred Heart Church. The names of parishioners who died and were buried from the church since last year’s devotion will be read aloud. A procession will form to the cemetery and Father will bless the cemetery and visitiation of the graves.

Patients for The Pediatric Health Clinic opens at 4:30 p.m. on the first Thursday and third Thursday of the month at the Care and Concern facility, 37 William St. Children’s immunization records are required upon registration. Parents or guardians must be present to have their child examined. All services are free and confidential.

The Specialty Basket Raffle will once again be chanced off at the Craft Show Saturday, Nov. 18 and Sunday, Nov. 19. Donations such as Gift Cards/Certificates to area restaurants, supermarkets, movie theaters, or stores like hardware stores, toy stores, car washes, bath & beauty stores, holiday items, etc. are needed from area businesses and parishioners. Donations of new items can be included in the baskets. Each basket will have a value of at least $150 so we do need a lot of donations. Tickets for the Specialty Baskets will be sold during the Pasta Dinner Sunday, Nov. 12, the week before the Pasta Dinner after all Masses and during the Craft Show.

The community is invited to a 100th birthday celebration for the M.P. Möller pipe organ at Saint Peter’s Lutheran Church at 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 15. Visiting organist Michael Sowa will play works by past and present composers of organ music on the 100-year-old instrument, rebuilt in 1994.
