The children at The Cookie Corner in West Wyoming were visited in honor of Dr. Seuss’s Birthday, by former Major League Baseball Relief Pitcher, Bob Duliba. Mr. Duliba played from 1959-1967, for the St. Louis Cardinals, the Los Angeles Angels, The Boston Red Sox, and the Kansas City Athletics. In 1959, he was the only baseball player in the Wyoming Valley to make it to the Major Leagues. The children and staff were delighted to hear him read, get an up-close look at the Major League Baseball glove that he used in his first year, and even receive autographs.
