Old Forge fared better in the final month of the season, putting wins back-to-back to begin October, but fell short of the postseason with a 2-8 finish.

The Blue Devils defeated Susquehanna 30-0 and Holy Cross 20-6 as part of a 2-3 record in the Lackawanna Football Conference Division 3. Their season ended last week in a 20-14 loss to Carbondale in a game that broke a third-place tie in the division.

Nick Rasmus led the team in receiving (62-841, seven touchdowns), rushing (16-102, 4 TDs) and scoring (68 points).

Robby Solfanelli hit more than 60 percent of his passes, going 135-for-216 for 1,519 yards and 11 touchdowns.

The Blue Devils were hurt by frequent slow starts. They were outscored 119-16 in the first quarter.
