King’s College lost at Wilkes University, 100-57, Tuesday to end its men’s basketball season with a 9-15 overall record, including 4-12 in the Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom.

The Monarchs featured three players from Pittston.

Patrick Bennie, a 6-foot-2 sophomore forward who played at Holy Cross High School in Dunmore, appeared in all 24 games, including making 10 starts.

Bennie averaged 5.3 points, 2.8 rebounds and 0.9 assists in 20.8 minutes per game. He shot 50.6 percent from the floor and 72.5 percent from the line.

J.J. Walsh and Dominic Jannuzzi were freshmen guards from Pittston Area.

Walsh played in 20 games and made six starts. He averaged 6.3 points, 1.6 rebounds and 1.1 assists in 14.8 minutes per game while shooting 37.4 percent from the floor, 33.8 percent on 3-pointers and 82.4 percent from the foul line.

Jannuzzi played in 14 games. He averaged 1.6 points, 1.2 rebounds and 1.0 assists in 8.4 minutes. Jannuzzi shot 26.5 percent from the floor, including 20.8 percent on 3-pointers.

Before the season-ending blowout loss, King’s upset Stevens, a .500 team overall, 87-65, Feb. 11 in its home finale.
