Lindsey Welsh scored a season-high 20 points during Wednesday’s visit to King’s College, leading the nationally ranked DeSales University women’s basketball team to a 61-37 victory.

The 5-foot-8 senior guard from Old Forge went 7-for-15 from the floor, including 2-for-7 on 3-pointers, while also making all four of her free throws. She also grabbed five rebounds and dished out three assists.

The 20-point game was Welsh’s third straight scoring in double figures and raised her season average to exactly 10 points. In her previous outing, Welsh spotted her second double-double of the season with 13 points and 10 rebounds during a 65-44 victory at Arcadia.

On the season, Welsh is shooting 40.9 percent from the floor, 36.5 percent on 3-pointers and 74.4 percent on free throws. She is also averaging 5.3 rebounds, 2.5 steals and 2.0 assists.

DeSales is 9-0 in the Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom and 18-2 overall. The Bulldogs, who have won 11 straight, are ranked 17th in the country among National Collegiate Athletic Association Division III teams.
