Jalen Moore sprinted to two victories and a second-place finish Thursday night to lead Pittston Area to a second-place finish in the boys team standings of the Walter J. Godek Twilight Invitational track and field meet at North Pocono.

Moore won the 100-meter dash in 11.71 seconds and the 200 in 22.95. He finished second in the 400 with a time of 50.53.

Dunmore won the team title with 70 1/3 points. Pittston Area scored 56 to beat Crestwood by one for second place out of 21 teams that scored points.

Wyoming Area tied for ninth with 28.

Caden Boettger added another win for the Patriots by taking first in the 800-meter run in 2:04.06 while Brady Tucker was seventh.

Boettger led off and Tucker anchored the 3200 relay team that placed second in 8:36.89. Jakob Mead and Franklin Garcia completed the relay lineup.

Lucas Lopresto was third in the javelin with a throw of 160-2 and fourth in the long jump with 20-3.

Luke Kopetchny led the way for Wyoming Area, taking second in the long jump with 20-7 and sixth in the triple jump with 41-2½.

Nicholas Kondrosky was third in the triple jump with 42-4½.

Josh Mruk’s javelin throw of 160-11 was good for second place. He was also eighth in the shot put with 44-10 ½.

The Warriors were fourth in the 400 relay with the team of Gage Speece, Michael Janosky, Lidge Kellum and Jack Gravine. Kellum was also seventh in the 110 high hurdles and eighth in the 300 hurdles.

Ben Gravine was sixth in the discus with a throw of 144-6.

Girls

Hannah Stoss, Shannon Kearns and Ella McKernan combined a pair of winning relays to help Wyoming Area finish third in the girls standings.

They were joined by Lucia Campenni for a win by 15.4 seconds with a time of 8:36.97 in the 3200 relay. Isabella Costa was the fourth member of the 1600 relay team that won in 4:10.55.

Crestwood won the team title with 83 points. Delaware Valley was second with 53, four more than Wyoming Area.

Pittston Area was 13th with 18 points.

McKernan was also second in the 300 hurdles, coming in just two-hundredths of a second behind Mid Valley’s Natalie Talluto in 46.82.

Stoss took third in the 800 in 2:24.50.

Taylor Gashi scored in four events, taking third in the long jump (16-9) and triple jump (36-2½), fifth in the discus (97-6) and seventh in the shot put (30-8½).

Janesa Sanchez was sixth in the 300 hurdles and Costa was eighth in the 400.

Ali Butcher led the way for Pittston Area by taking second in the 200 in 27.27. She joined Annika Lien, Emily Savakinas and Elinor Schardien to place third in the 400 relay in 52.37.

Isabella Dessoye was fifth in the 1600 in 5:32.64 along with joining Maggie Gruber, Nadia Rawhouser and Olivia Scalese for fifth in the 3200 relay.

Schardien, in the pole vault, and Lien, in the long jump, were seventh.

Savakinas (300 hurdles), Dessoye (800) and Gianna Martinelli (javelin) were eighth.
