Wyoming Area swept doubles and got a three-set victory from Luca Argenio at first singles Monday while defeating visiting Holy Redeemer 4-1 in a Wyoming Valley Conference match.
Trevor Winslow-Paul Panek and Jason Wang-Zhiwen Tang each won in straight sets.
The win improved the Warriors to 6-5 in the WVC.
Winslow-Panek defeated Dan Dudick-Brayden Sock 6-3, 6-3 in the No. 1 spot. Wang-Tang downed Jack Antinnes-Liam Tamkus 6-1, 6-2.
Argenio outlasted Frank Klimovitz 7-5, 4-6, 6-4.
The Warriors also received a forfeit at third singles.
Honesdale 4, Wyoming Area 1
Luca Argenio defeated Lewis Smith 6-1, 6-1 at No. 1 singles Thursday for Wyoming Area’s only team point in the non-league, road match.
Trevor Winslow put up the strongest effort in defeat, winning six games during his match at third singles.
The Warriors are 6-7 overall and 10th in the District 2 Class 2A playoff ratings race. They need to get into the top eight or make it to .500 or better overall at the end of the regular season in order to qualify for the district tournament.

Honesdale won the non-league match Wednesday at Pittston Area.
The Patriots fell to 0-12 overall.

Pittston Area slipped to 0-11 in the WVC when it lost to visiting Tunkhannock Monday.
