MOOSIC — Rain just before the start of the District 2 Class 5A baseball championship game between Pittston Area and North Pocono on Sunday forced a change in the schedule at PNC Field.
The D2-3A championship game between Lake-Lehman and Wyoming Seminary was moved to 6:30 p.m. Monday. It was originally scheduled for 6 p.m. Sunday, but Pittston Area vs. North Pocono started nearly two hours late due to rain.
More rain was forecast later Sunday night, so the decision was made to postpone the final game Sunday.
Monday’s schedule at PNC Field is as follows:
• D2-A Championship: Holy Cross vs. Blue Ridge, 11 a.m.
• D2-4A Championship: Dallas vs. Scranton Prep, 1:30 p.m.
• D2/4-6A Championship: Hazleton Area vs. Williamsport, 4 p.m.
• D2-3A Championship: Wyoming Seminary vs. Lake-Lehman, 6:30 p.m.
