Marc Anthony Minichello was named first-team All-Ivy League Wednesday, following up his title in the javelin at last weekend’s Ivy League Outdoor Heptagonal Championship.

The freshman from Wyoming Area became the first Quaker to win the Ivy League javelin title since 2004.

Minichello helped Penn finish second in the team standings. He threw the javelin 66.95 meters (219-8).

Host Princeton won the title with 182 points. Penn was second with 123, beating out Harvard by 15 points.

Minichello is with the team in Princeton again for the Saturday and Sunday ECAC & IC4A Track and Field Championships. Currently ranked third in the East, he will be part of the NCAA East Preliminary May 23-25 in Jacksonville, Fla.

Abby Norwillo, a freshman from Pittston Area, was part of the Penn women’s team that won its second straight Ivy League title.

Norwillo competed in the pole vault at the league championships, but did not clear a height.
