Vito Quaglia’s last act as Pittston Area coach will be to serve as coach of the East team Wednesday night in the 40th annual Robert L. Dolbear Senior Girls Wyoming Valley Conference All-Star Softball Game at the Back Mountain Little League Field in Dallas.

The start of the game, which is sponsored by the Dallas Kiwanis Club, has been moved from 6 to 8 p.m. to allow time for a District 31 Little League playoff game.

Quaglia will coach the team with help from his Pittston Area assistants from Frank Parente and Kim Roman.

Pittston Area has the largest contingent of players on the East roster with Alexa McHugh, Lexi Felinski, Shayla Williams, Morgan Mesaris and Bailey Loyack.

The East team also includes seniors from Coughlin, Crestwood, GAR, Hanover Area, Holy Redeemer and Meyers.

Tunkhannock head coach Bob Hegedty will lead the West team with a staff that includes Ron Hampsey, his Tunkhannock assistant, and Steve Mytych from Wyoming Seminary, Joyce Tinner from Dallas and Tinner’s assistant, Jen Yanuskavich.

Aubrey Mytych, a Wyoming Seminary player who lives in the Wyoming Area School District, is part of the West team that also draws players from Berwick, Dallas, Northwest and Tunkhannock.
