EXETER — During Catholic Schools’ Week activities, Wyoming Area Catholic School held its annual Scripps National Spelling Bee School Competition for students in grades four through eight with 25 contestants each representing their grade level after winning the homeroom spelling bee.

Seventh-grade student Maya Kasa won first place while sixth-grade student Aryan Tolani took second place.

Kasa will represent Wyoming Area Catholic School at the local Scripps National Spelling Bee on March 12 at the Woodlands Inn & Resort in Plains Township.
