Wyoming Area won every game that was played Friday while sweeping visiting Pittston Area 5-0 in a Wyoming Valley Conference girls tennis match.

The Lady Warriors won all three singles matches and No. 1 doubles by 6-0, 6-0 scores. The No. 2 doubles match was a forfeit.

Emma Kratz defeated Isabella Hughes at first singles; Molly Kratz topped Brooke Albertelli at second and Sarah Willison beat Peyton Bailey at third.

Alex Jacobs-Vivian Sigman won doubles over Leah Kendzor-Maggie Philbin. Alana Ginthner-Bella Dequevedo received the forfeit.

The victory was the third in as many days for the Lady Warriors, who improved to 6-1 in the WVC and 7-1 overall.

Pittston Area remained winless through seven matches.

Wyoming Area 4, MMI Prep 1

Alex Jacobs and Vivian Sigman won 6-0, 6-0 at No. 1 to highlight a doubles sweep by Wyoming Area in Thursday’s WVC road match.

Sarah Willison won 6-0, 6-0 at No. 3 singles.

Molly Kratz and the doubles team of Alana Ginthner-Ava Kuharchik won in straight sets, including a 6-0 set.

Wyoming Area 5, Lake-Lehman 0

Wyoming Area dropped just five games in eight sets during Wednesday’s WVC victory over visiting Lake-Lehman.

Sarah Willison and the doubles team of Alex Jacobs-Vivian Sigman won 6-0, 6-0.

Molly Kratz, who won by shutout in her first set, and Emma Kratz also won singles matches in straight sets and MMI Prep forfeited second doubles.

Wyoming Seminary 5, Wyoming Area 0

Wyoming Seminary took each point in straight sets during Monday’s WVC meeting of unbeatens at Wyoming Area.

Alex Jacobs-Vivian Sigman put up the strongest opposition for Wyoming Area, falling 6-3, 6-4 to Elisabeth Moules-Kimi Li at No. 1 doubles.

When the week ended, Wyoming Seminary shared first place with Dallas at 8-0.

Hazleton Area 3, Pittston Area 0

Pittston Area had its most competitive match of the season before falling to host Hazleton Area Monday in a WVC match.

Isabella Hughes won the first game at No. 2 singles before falling to Debby Gonzales 4-6, 6-4, 10-8.

Peyton Bailey-Leah Kendzot took the first set of No. 1 doubles to a tiebreaker before losing 7-6 (7-4), 6-4 to Arannya Maloney-Nashaly Rosario.
